The MiniPID 2 detects whether the lamp is illuminated by the ionisation current within the electrode stack. If the lamp is not illuminated then there will be no ionisation current and the MiniPID 2 will signal a lamp error (35 mV) on the output pins. The lamp error will also be raised if the lamp light is very weak.

The lamp error is only available on the ‘HPPM’ MiniPID 2.
