Biphenyl
diphenyl, xenene, bibenzene, lemonene, phenyl benzene, Therminol = 73.5% diphenyl oxide (DPO) and 26.5% biphenyl
Biphenyl
Formula: C12H10 | CAS: 92-52-4
Synonyms: diphenyl, xenene, bibenzene, lemonene, phenyl benzene, Therminol = 73.5% diphenyl oxide (DPO) and 26.5% biphenyl
Biphenyl, which occurs naturally in crude oil, is used in the manufacture of diverse chemicals such as paint emulsifiers, plastics and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). It is used as a heat transfer reagent. It impeded fungal growth and is therefore used as a fungicide.
